It was a fantastic weekend in Cresco for the 82nd Iowa State Sale, where 52 live lots averaged $3,042.

Leading the sale at $5,100 was Lot 4, WF O’Malley Nestle, a December granddaughter of the well‑known WF Biver Northernlights ET. Consigned by Woodwind Farm, she was purchased by Caleb and Cole Schulte.

Bringing $4,700 was Lot 27, Wapsi-Ana TN Velma, a promising summer yearling sired by Top Notch. Consigned by Abby Fairbanks, she was purchased by Violet Ackerman/Blue Sky Farms.

Also selling for $4,700 was Lot 43, Onword Slim Shady Poet NP, offered with her heifer calf born March 7. Consigned by Blake and Briella Schutte, the fresh two‑year‑old sold to Stephen and Margaret Askew for $3,800, while her calf was purchased by Vanessa DeVore and Garrett Whipple for $900.
